A blizzard materializes when a forceful combination of elements -- snow, ice, sleet, hail, wind, thunder, lightening -- come together as a force demanding reaction from all unsuspecting figures in its path.
This is who I strive to be as an artist, Donnell London (A.K.A) Blizzard -- a royally chilling tempest of pop, hip-hop, lyricism, charm, lust, love, swagger and fury on the mic, commanding the attention of all who never even saw me coming.
My music is meant to provide the soundtrack for a good time -- to dance to, to have fun to, to inspire... to nod to in your car, to jam to in the clubs, to rock to in the streets. No matter your background, I aim to deliver a sound you can appreciate.
Writing and recording music began as a stress reliever and eventually evolved into a compulsive love for creation and the impact my craft would have on those who listened. The love of music as an art form stemmed from a passion from drawing, and yet the need to express myself beyond the mere page and the images I placed upon it. As I began to grasp poetry, it became clear how much more meaningful it felt to be able to express myself not only creatively, but to take my ideas from the page and deliver them vocally. Since developing this passion, I have known no greater satisfaction than that of going into the studio, recording a song that I've written, and hearing it after it's finished. Receiving those first reactions of the engineer and others in the studio bouncing their heads to my latest is as fulfilling as any further success that may follow.
